Nutshell Sports NCAA Football Ratings
These ratings are designed to change slowly throughout the season. You can see which direction your team is going on the week-by-week rating.
And we didn't do badly against the line.
Season was 376-324. 52 games ahead. Second Half was 166-131. 35 games ahead.
Not Bad. And you thought we were nuts.
See my Ratings Summary to see what type of ratings you like best.
Predictive Ratings (pred) and Middle Game Ratings.
Current Odds
Updated 01/08/2008
The teams are arranged by their predictive ratings. Also included are the teams' Middle Game Ratings. The predictive tells how they are playing right now. Middle Game tells how they have played during the season. If the predictive rating is higher, your team is getting better. If the Middle Game is higher, your team is getting worse. Sorry. All ratings only include games played by teams in the top level.
Is LSU the best? I doubt it. They beat Ohio State, who also folded in last year's championship. I'll assume LSU deserves that. But there are still unanswered questions. Can LSU beat USC or West Virginia? We'll never know. And why is Ohio State still ahead of LSU? Simple. In their typical game they played at a higher level. Unfortunately, they didn't play at such a high level when they played LSU. But what's new about that?
To see why Ohio State is still ahead, refer to the Weeks chart.

Better or Worse?
Did your team get better this season? Did they flop? Is it time for a new coach? It certainly looks as if Louisville, Notre Dame, California, Baylor, and Nebraska fit that description. Or, perhaps, just better players.

Speaking Out
In my lifetime we have gone from politeness and common
sense to political correctness. Ironically, the same people that want to
organize manners want to de-organize religion. In other words, they are very
confused. I am tired of the 85+ % liberal press and radical college professors
putting crap into young people's heads. Here are some places and articles where
you can hear common sense which is not regulated.
Where to get real news from both sides. What
a concept.

Since the hippies tried to save the world, every new
generation thinks it has the solution to all the problems the current leaders
have caused. It takes a long time to civilize a society. It doesn't take long
for "idealists" to destroy it.
I am conservative. I believe that our values and ideas
should continue unless they are proved to be inferior over time. I do not like
the liberal concept of trashing things that work and replacing them with things
that sound good. Study both sides to find out what is true. Stop
telling me I am a racist and hateful and more unless you have studied my side's
viewpoint. I do not like watching the media cause problems so they can sell
papers and airtime the next day while blaming those problems on the other side.
Wise up.
